I don't see a problem with Golf Carts has long as the owners keep kids off of them .These days carts are quiet and i have seen many used by park employees and never seen a problem .Now i'm going to make some people mad .There is no bigger problem than some kids on bikes in a park !!I did say some kids .

Yes we have stayed at site 20 many times and i have a 34 foot RV and had a lot of room for it .I have picture of site 20 in my photo album .

Golf Carts in Fl State Parks
I just talked to the main office at Flordia State Parks and they said beginning July 1 2008 you can use Golf Carts in the state parks on the main roads .

Here is the Florida Law on using golf carts on roads. I read this as you can't do it, except under very strict certain conditions.

Hey Guys,
I just bought a golf cart and making it street legal .How many of you use a cart in Flordia state parks ?Do you know if you can cross hyw 98 in Destin from Henerson beach campground to walmart .This is a electic cart .

Does anyone know a campground close to Lanark or ST.Teresa Fl. and what the beaches look like there ?I know some of thoes places around that area the beach is on the bay not the Ocean .

Speaking of beach campgrounds pre-Ivan, Norm, what is the status of the Navarre Beach State Park campground, the one with only about 10 sites? It was only open a month or 2 before Ivan blasted through. I heard the park was reopening but no mention of the small campground.
I heard the one you are talking about the new one with 10 sites will never open again .I got to stay there 3 days when it first opened .

My Wife and I have been there many times and we love it .There will be a trailer just before you enter park that sells shrimp and fresh fish .You talking about good .There are many accesses to beach .Great fishing and lots of shells .If you have 4 wheel drive you can get ticket and drive the east end .Deep sand road but lots and lots of shells . Some photos of SGI below .

because of ther turles :H Might be an ecological issue if it's a turtle breading ground in the area.
I know that i was just wondering if they bred or lay thier eggs in the spring ???? They do come to the beach there in the fall .You can't even have a flash light at night on the beach .

Hi Mark ,
My wife and i went to Saint Joe Peninsula in the fall and they wouldn't let you leave anything on the beach at night because of ther turles .Is it that way in the spring .We have a few days in May there and a few days at SGI also .What is some good tips fishing at Saint Joe on the beach . I fished in the fall with live bait and caught a lot of ladyfish .We will be on site 39 and would like to leave canopy over night on beach but in the fall they wouldn't let us .

Oh thank you so much Fl Camper---We are still trying to get into Topsail for the week of March 23rd but so far no luck. With a 7 and 9 year old we need activities--:) If I happen upon another site else where, I will contact you via PM before I cancel.

Yeah, it's a little early right now for cancellations, normally they start to appear around a month or so out and continue right up to the close off day. With two weeks to one week out out being prime time
I've had great luck in the past always finding a cancellation when I wanted it.
Just keep checking several several several times day and eventually you will find one. Normally once one shows up it doesn't last for no more than an hour before someone takes it.
If for some reason you don't find a site at TopSail I think your kids tho would have a great time at St Joseph. Like I said the fishing is great from the shore and the bike riding is as well. Kite flying is also popular that time of year.

I have a few days there in may .I was there in the fall and we couldn't leave anything on the beach at night because of the turtles can you leave a canopy up at night in spring .I caught a few ladyfish on live bait .

RE: Hot water tank mixer valve?
It is possible they put them on, I have one in my shower at home. One function of it is to prevent tempurature change when your in the shower and someone flushes the toilet. It also can be set so that the water coming out of a faucet doesn't scald you. I would guess that a more likely culprit is the hot water tank by pass valve not being closed all the way. Just a guess.
I would bet good money you are right it's the tank bypass valve .
